Like, it's kind of like Tsumiki in DR2 where the killing is cause they're actually a fucking nutter (actually, this whole case is very much like that case), that is done so in futherance of the plot and reveals, or at least hints at the secret that restoring their lost memory will bring to light. This is just... hey i'm a crazy serial killer person also weird brain-incest! I'm getting nothing out of this other than that the character, that I loved, was a waste of time. Like, I'm annoyed that ~~Yonaga and Tenko~~ died in the furtherance of this nonsense. And worst of all, it's boring. You can have a case where the culprit is this obvious if you do something good with that to turn it upside down where it isn't really about the literal killing but another more interesting background mystery. See DR2 ~~case 5~~. Nothing like that came from this.
