Shuichi's silence right now is really annoying. I feel like it's related to the backstory they gave about how finding the culprit made them sad and shit and they doesn't want to do it again, which I guess I get, but it's not endearing right now. Which would mean that Shuichi has figured out who the culprit is. And it's Iruma. That's where I'm at right now.

I feel like this case has gone more out of its way to set up red herrings than any in the other two games. Like, they were present, like the wet suit in case 2 of DR2, but they were mostly just argumentative red herrings. Here there are literal pieces of evidence that exist only to guide me off track. I think that seems conceptually very cool.

The Lie Bullet mechanic fundamentally strikes me as bad. I don't see how I'm supposed to guess when I'm meant to lie unless the game literally nudge nudge wink wink's me every time. And just the idea that I'm meant to lie in the trials rather than seek the truth just seems wrong and completely arbitrary in a way that prevents brain-teasing the case out in your head.

Debate Scrums seem really fun.
