Yeah, it's not the cold persay that's going to kill Texans, but the cold + zero power...literally almost everywhere, and no water.

So yeah, it's literally like 35 degrees in my bedroom, which with Houston humidity equates to a "true feel" of below freezing and we're having to hide under our covers to keep from freezing to death.

All hotels are booked. All of my friends are in the same situation as us. There's literally miles of suburbs that have been powerless almost completely for close to two days now.

Honestly, the past few days have been worse than Covid or any hurricane I've ever seen. Texas is basically shittier than a 3rd world country rn.

But yeah, I'm sure Canada totally has millions of 48hr+ blackouts that affect almost entire cities in the middle of winter storms...
