I think other write-ups really nailed my problem with the movie better than I did though. It's not so much that it's a "Mary Sue civilization" (I mean it kinda is in terms of what we see BUT) as much as the only part of Wakanda we really see is their BUSTLING SCIENCE DIVISION. There should be so much more to Wakanda than that. The vibe I was getting was that their whole damn civilization was full of super intelligent eggheads but the more obvious thing is that no there are less gifted people and we just don't see them because none of the film takes place in other parts of Wakanda. --- No problem!
