You have to remember the fact that she's an OG Gen 1 Vtuber, as such, the standards for "idols" back then were pretty strictly defined. Akai Haato was supposed to be a classic tsundere type character, but as time went on she revealed more and more of her real life personality which gave birth to Haachama. I think she herself said before that Haachama is closer to what she is in real life than Haato.
