I'm not going to. One, because jewelry isn't needed. And two, I don't care enough to change what someone thinks of jewelry. Just because on person doesn't like it doesn't mean someone else won't. If they have the money for it, why not buy it. If someone's wife likes some jewelry they saw, I see no reason not to buy it if you have the funds for it... Like I said, I don't really care for jewelry, but some people do. And I see nothing wrong with getting it if you can afford it...

There's a difference between getting value out of something because you like how it looks, and liking something entirely because it's expensive or is a signal of wealth.

I also think it's dumb to buy expensive jewelry just because you like how it looks, but at least that's more justifiable than "I want this shiny thing so other people will be jealous of me."
