I had an idea for an alt called WorstPossibleScenario or something at one point, because I was just kinda like that for a while.
My thoughts on this would probably be:
Insurrectionists storm the Capitol building
Biden is killed in the clash, creating a power vacuum
Trump claims that since there isn't an adequate replacement, he won't cede the position
Kamala Harris and other democrats contest this - as VP she'd probably take over the position
Trump doubles down on "they stole the election" in the face of Kamala Harris assuming the position of president, playing to his supporters' ignorance and bad faith tendencies to whip them up into a violent fervor, as "no-one voted Kamala Harris for President".
More right-wing clashes happen across the country, some of which are enabled by the more right-wing police force (seeing as Capitol security outright let people into the building, this isn't too far of a stretch)
Other democratic senators are attacked and/or killed. Moderate conservatives raise objections, a majority of the party goes all in on Trump.
Trump stays in power and conducts press around the clock to normalise what he's done.
America has fallen to fascism, and the people who have taken positions of power by force will never let go of them again.
