Cassidy is a newcomer to the 55-45 vote they held on this very same question two weeks ago when Rand Paul objected it was unconstitutional. McConnell voted it was unconstitutional after his last act as Majority Leader was to keep from reconvening the Senate to hold the trial while he was still in office. The actual trial will proceed starting tomorrow.
