Characters who live in Republic city typically use MMA style. Youll notice characters who actually still have culture use the more authentic styles like Tenzin or Unalaq. So basically, folks havent watched the show. Bashing Korra for being unlikable at the start of season but more than likely praising Sokkas misogynistic ass for his development is insane.
