If Mahomes wins this he very likely will. He'll only be 4 rings and 2 MVPs behind Brady and will have the head-to-head tie-breaker. He's only what, 25? If he wins tomorrow he could easily pass Brady.

On the other hand if he loses, he'll be 6 rings behind Brady and Brady will have the tie-breaker. So he'll need 7 rings to pass Brady and even then people will still say that Brady is better because he beat him at 43 years old.

Thats why this super bowl is the biggest game Mahomes will ever play in his career. He's not chasing greatness or the hall of fame, he's chasing GOAT status. A win or a loss causes a huge swing in the GOAT conversation

I mean... it doesn't. Only 4 rings behind? Since the 1970's how many have even 3 rings, much less 6? A lot of QB's get two and they aren't anywhere close to the GOAT conversation.
