I thought Snoke was deliberately designed in Force Awakens to be a fairly bland, uninteresting Emperor rip-off and that's why I theorized after TFA came out that he would be killed by Kylo Ren, the more interesting character - but not for Ren to turn good, but for Ren to turn completely bad. And TLJ seemed to be going that way! TLJ had lines like Leia saying "her son is gone", and Luke saying he "can't save him". Commit to it, for fuck's sake! Not every character with indecision needs to eventually turn good! Some will settle that indecision by turning bad! One hundred percent. Kylo Ren turning good is absolutely the result of damage control and the producers deciding to try and cater to every pissed off audience grouping they could, in this case shippers, and as a result leaving nobody happy. Though I guess the shippers are actually happy since they only cared about Renlo? But he's dead, so...maybe not? --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
