I only ever really cared because I'd to go Super Bowl parties, hang out, socialize, drink, and generally be a human being. But pandemic means no one is having parties, and I wouldn't go even if they were, so I cannot conceivably give less of a shit about the Super Bowl. Same reason I really didn't give a shit about New Years this year. I really don't care about any holiday or annual "event" outside of their impact on my social interaction. If I'm not going to any parties, I really don't care about New Years or Fourth of July or Halloween or whatever. They're just like any other day of the week to me until people start socializing again.
