Though Ive brought them up before I always hated my picture growing up too though, which is why I wanted to incorporate it. Yeahhhh my mom was one of those moms who forced me to take pictures of me and my family doing EVERYTHING and there was this whole 'image' I had to adhere to growing up for the sake of others. I guess it was all part of the experience of immigrants really making a better life and trying to memorialize it (which is how I understand it now) through social status but man I just hated it.. took me forever to even start liking the idea of shopping for clothes that looked nice for me or for me to even care about how I look Just not a fun time lol but Dhalia<3 --- ...
