I always thought demon slayer was referencing the people that are slaying demons but that japanese title makes me think it's referencing main guys black sword. Kimetsu = oni destruction, yaiba = blade so a direct translation would be blade of oni destruction. Also strange to me when they decide to translate oni as demon or devil.
