Real change needs to happen at scale but nobody is really being forced out of anything. Some people opt early into going vegetarian, or reducing their fossil fuel use, etc., so that they can show there is a market out there for alternatives and have better things developed to get other people on board. Right now, no one is being forced. But we technically will be if the meat industry has to close... While the loss of meat will be sad, I can just try to avoid most of the fake stuff anyway for the most part (Especially if hunting is still legal, which is probably will be).
