It's too common a shit tactic for discussing/argument. For example I agree with what he said. Do I agree on the war on drugs? Uh no. But those issues, despite being in the same ballpark if you try to push them together for the sake of an argument, are WORLDS apart. You can generalize and blanket them together, but they are complex issues that need individual solutions. You're going from one extreme to the other.
