All these people concerned with the "cost" of property damage during the protests yet give zero shits about the cost of treating all those Covid cases from the Sturgis rally. Which was $12 billion.

Property damage over the killing of an innocent black man? That's horrible.

Cost of medical care for a bunch of idiots going to a stupid Bike Rally? Eh whatever.

It seems when a bunch of conservatives gather to have fun and it ends up hurting America they don't give a crap. But speaking out about an injustice that might lead to some property damage? That's the worst thing in the world.

That's simple. It's just the optics of what can be shown on the news/shared on social media. Property damage/looting/rioting/whatever is an easy sell. People getting sick isn't. We've seen it over and over again, even from certain people that post here, that they didn't take COVID seriously until it happened to them personally. People don't get overly riled up over things that are "invisible" and that they don't relate to.
