No matter how well they practice ignoring other telltale signs of seeing things, it's extremely difficult for human beings to ignore noticing money just because of how ingrained it is for us to recognize its importance. I feel the same thing happened in that video when he saw a 1up in Bowser in the Sky. He immediately twitched and made a move for it, realized what he had done, and then ignored it and pretend he didn't see it.
