There's plenty of games that sold a bunch and influenced nothing. FF13 is one of them. Actually, if anything, it was influential in a negative way - FF has always been the bellweather for the genre and FF13 failed so badly that it kicked off a JRPG downturn that lasted until 2017 when Nier Automata and Persona 5 righted the ship. And while it didn't set the world on fire or anything, Xenoblade was one of the few bright spots that kept faith in the genre alive during that time period. --- It's Reyn Time. ...
