Captain Syrup is a decently recognizable Ninty character with a name that stands out, but she doesn't have a large number of game appearances so I am not confident in her strength. She could potentially benefit from TJF depending on the pic she gets though. Geodude has a funny name but I just don't think anyone really cares about it. Brock has one in the anime but it doesn't have much in the way of significant battles - it usually gets beaten fairly quickly. If this character's canon name was "Excitebiker" I'd be willing to give them more credit. But I don't think many people are aware of the Hobby name, and I think that will prevent some people from making the association to Excitebike. For Zangief I will say High Fodder. He's no shoto or Chun-Li, but he is one of the original world warriors and a pretty big fan favorite. His design really stands out and his boisterous personality make him a likeable guy - both in-game and in his appearances in the Street Fighter movie and Wreck-It Ralph.
