| LostForest 12/18/20 11:01:29 PM #11: | When my wife and I were looking to get a dog last year, we ran into a different issue with rescues. We live in an apartment so we wanted a small dog. But anytime a shelter gets cute, small dogs in, they get scooped up by soccer moms and old ladies and other people without jobs ASAP because they just sit and wait for the new arrivals to get posted online. Then the meeting process favors people without jobs as well because they tell you to come meet the dogs at like 11am on a weekday, and it's first come first serve. We ended up giving up and just did a bunch of research to find a very reputable, family-run breeder. We ended up getting a great purebred doggie that was exactly what we needed for our lifestyle, and it ended up not costing much more than she adoption fees end up being. --- ForestLogic alt. ...
