As long as they create strong content for it I think that'll make up for the stuff they can't really change.
Maybe.

I'm just realizing that there's a major disconnect between the flow of side missions and main missions.

And I normally enjoy extra story and explanatory dialogue, but thinking back to a main mission I did last night... there was one part where I had to visit a person for information. The slower pace and frequent interjections by other characters made sense here, I wasn't in a dire rush to complete the objective. Then proceeded to the next part of the mission, which, in theory, should have been more focused on trying to fight / sneak through a slew of enemies to complete an objective which the game put some amount of urgency to.

Yet as I try to clear each and every room for loot so I can move on, the supporting characters keep having to chime in and share their two cents about everything. Magazines, donuts, sex toys, whatever. To the point where I either ignore them and possibly miss out on some essential plot element, or ... I sit and listen to them blab for a minute at a time, totally ruining any sense of urgency I have to complete the mission.

I know open world games suffer from this in general, the world is collapsing around you but you're rescuing kittens from trees for 2 karma points a piece. So I anticipated that here, and honestly that aspect isn't too offensive to my senses because there is but also isn't a time crunch. But I didn't expect it to happen inside the missions themselves.
