| Gobstoppers12 12/14/20 1:10:49 AM #20: | It doesn't get really, really bad until ~7 or 8. Five and beyond are a noticeable dip in quality, though. Like, really noticeable. At some point, they started trying to tell 'real' stories with consistent character development and story continuity. They tried to get all 'serious' with the themes, and also went even further with the excessive gore and gross-out humor. The first few seasons are funny because they're so fucking clever. The latter seasons are funny in a less...unique way. They're just standard sitcom episodes with 'wacky twists' like "what if two old guys were competing for Chris' affection, but one of them was actually a NAZI and we spent like 7 minutes making fun of old guys fighting in slow motion, Wouldn't that be FUCKING HILARIOUS!?" --- I write Naruto Fanfiction.
