It's literally a recently established PR strategy to find the most unreasonable and unruly members of a fandom/demographic and put them on display to avoid having to respond to any criticism. It happened with Hearthstone. It happened with Anthem. It happened with Mass Effect. People are mean on Twitter. People are mean on the internet. Yes, there's always going to be an insolated contingent of people who acts their absolute worst behind the guise of anonymity. I've gotten enough death threats online in my lifetime to know that's the case. But I'm really tired of using these incel losers as a shield from any and all criticism that ANYTHING remotely controversial receives. It reminds me of Fox News labeling all protesters as rioters. Nah, there's some assholes who make everyone look bad, but that doesn't give you a carte blanche to condemn everyone within that specific demographic. Address the individuals who are unable to operate within the expectations of society, but I'm tired of seeing those schmucks used as an excuse to avoid any and all conversation about a topic.
