American history textbooks are very heavily White-centric, with token mentions to the Civil Rights movement (and then, only MLK, Rosa Parks, and Malcolm X). As someone who has read history textbooks, I have found most of the content mentioned in that video and a lot more. Of course that is just my experience, perhaps there do exist history textbooks in use that only include white culture. If that is the case then we would be better served to get those books out of circulation than making a video about how the system is bad because it doesn't do everything for us while we do nothing. Proclaiming "systemic racism" and doing nothing has become a problem. We are the system, if we want change we need to act to bring change.
