world only has palicos which are just basically there to split attention from the boss and maybe heal/buff sometimes
Thats all the AI does in god eater.

To be fair, if you make the right set, they can actually solo nearly everything in the game in world. In general, the palicos in world are pretty effective at healing, buffing, distracting and status application.

Also nearly everything in world now scales with players so you don't feel handicapped playing solo. It's actually easier solo. There are a few more raid type quests where this is not the case but those are the exception in world.

World also makes healing OP and braindead and lets you change items and gear and restock as many times as you want mid hunt. You can call tamed small monsters to carry you to the monster on the map very quickly (and you can sharpen and heal and buff while it happens). No more loading mid mission. Combat is faster paced. Endemic life. Beautiful intricate maps. A grapple hook. Drop in/drop out multiplayer so you never have to talk or communicate with anyone ever again in fact they might as well be bots.

I actually dislike about half of those things but the things keeping people away from MH basically evaporated in world.

My biggest problem though is just that it's easier. The hunter is stronger than they have ever been and the monsters don't get quite as buffed. The combat has lost a fair bit of it's precision focus. For the direction they took the series in though, they really couldn't have done a much better job and most people like that direction.
