I lost both my uncle and my grandmother who were the two closest family members to me. My uncle was especially like a dad to me, wed be over at his house almost weekly. He lost his battle to pancreatic cancer in May and my grandma passed away from dementia about 2 weeks ago.

But I also got pregnant after struggling with 4 years of infertility. So it feels like a tiny miracle among all the other stuff. But then I remember that she will never get to meet my uncle or grandma. I really thought my uncle would be a grandpa to any kids I had because my dad doesnt give a shit and my husbands father died decades ago.

I just cant put a number on it. Its been a roller coaster.
