Topic	HDMI 2.1 for new generation of consoles worth it?
YellowMustard69 11/22/20 3:29:42 PM #1:	I'm reading that HDMI 2.0 is capable of 4k @ 60 FPS, and that PS5 games have a standard to perform at that, which is already an improvement over the previous generation where we had to settle for 4k at 30fps. HDMI 2.1 makes it so that 4k can go higher than 60fps...but that seems like a massive upgrade in graphical capabilities from one generation to the next if games are now able to run at 120fps. I see articles that talk about games that do run at 120fps, but how is this done? Does it turn down the resolution to 1080p? Because if that's the only way to play games higher than 60fps, then I don't see the need to upgrade my TV to a hdmi 2.1 model because 4k @ 60fps is perfect for me. Appreciate any info you can give.
