| Solid Sonic 11/08/20 9:33:26 PM #37: | Also, something else to take away from Trump's presidency is that maybe it's made the people who wanted him out of office reawaken the importance of the kinds of people we put into power. Washington has long been accused of becoming a political machine less so a center of leadership (hell, a lot of that factored into what got Trump elected) and the way a lot of modern political figures like AOC talk about how disgusting it is that our elected officials can be so disaffected and permissive of Trump's candor and the way it reflects on our global image reinforces that (that politicians are more worried about not being shitlisted by the guy in charge than to call them out on obvious insanity unbecoming of a head of a first world state). I kind of hope the people who have been saying this stay in Biden's ear and remind him to keep the ball rolling so that we regain some of that sense of real leadership. --- "It feels like I'm always wrong."
