Considering that Pelosi has literally been stalling things as a tactic to try to hurt Trump's reelection -- with zero regard for the American people -- it's a duh.

I feel like "I can't find a job that will pay enough for me to keep my house" or "I can't find a job that won't indefinitely put my career progression on hold" are reasonable enough qualifiers to just say "I can't find a job." And that's saying nothing about not wanting to inconvenience the people offering those jobs by committing to a position that they intend to leave as soon as something better opens up (to which end they probably wouldn't even get said jobs because they're overqualified).

The first is a consideration, but the second not so much. Otherwise many people will be forced to make hard career and life choices regardless because the economy is going to be in rough shape for some time afterward. The idea that everything is going to return to how it was after governors have locked down their states is fantasy, because shit is going to take years to return to where it was so any stimulus is going to be delaying the inevitable in some cases.

Someone doesn't understand opportunity cost. If you spend all your time and energy at a job that doesn't pay the bills, that's less time and energy you have for looking for a job that does

And just think how much opportunity people have when they're homeless. They have a free schedule to look for work and aren't tied down to one geographical region -_- While sometimes you get stuck doing something that's less than ideal or have to take a step back in life, you gotta do what you gotta do. You can't just holdout for forever and, if you try to, you'll wind up with employment gaps that are going to hurt you far worse than anything else.
