That part of it shouldn't be such a controversial item. south korea and japan literally shit all over america's response to covid, and their population density averages higher then the majority of the US. and this holds true for several european countries too. and no, screaming about cases going up now, when they were always going to go back up during flu season, isn't an argument against their earlier success. the real issue is the dunderfucks in the US and the complete lack of support from the federal government. those other countries that actually did their job and contained covid? they did so because their people weren't fucking stupid enough to go partying when they were sick, and their government actually invested resources into dealing with the issue. in america? people scream that masks are tyranny. that covid is a liberal hoax. and that it will just disappear or that its already been beaten. and they say this, because the president says all of that is true... the same president, who has systematically kneecapped the covid response from day 1... so you say you went to vegas? well that was fucking stupid of you. but you know what? it wouldn't have been so bad if 40% of the country weren't petulant man-children and the president hadn't gutted a systematic federal pandemic response. we'd have had months of isolated and contained cases instead of the steady growth we've shown the whole summer. but yeah, gov'ment ain't gonna force me to breath my own breath by wearing a mask! --- Taarsidath-an halsaam.
