They were all fantastic. TP is so underrated it's disgusting.
picking on this comment to go on a rant. Twilight Princess is all right, but oddly enough I would say the difficulty level is what holds it back.

I recently finished OoT for the first time (go go lockdown) and it gave me a new perspective on TP.

TP feels like a 'fixed' version of OoT. All of the difficult or inscrutable world logic has been removed, and the dungeon puzzles as well as the boss fights are intuitively labeled. lakebed temple as one example is clearly a fixed water temple.

however, i think they could have added a little something to replace the unfair difficulty that they removed. i never complain about games being too easy, but i think this has to be the exception. i snoozed by way through all of TP without looking up a guide, and this was my first zelda game. I was actively bored during dungeons and boss fights. Almost every puzzle, and every boss boiled down to looking at your surroundings, finding the clearly labeled context-sensitive element, and using the appropriate item on it

Being easy can be okay, or even great if the core gameplay loop is super fun or the story pacing is excellent, but I don't think TP quite got there

if i could go back and wave a magic wand, i'd first focus on making link's movement and navigation faster and more fun. The dungeons are large, and you spend a lot of time stomping around in iron boots and and slowly climbing along ceiling grating. The game had some great ideas and set pieces, they just weren't fun to navigate. I kept thinking 'man, this really has potential'

Second, I might increase the complexity of dungeon puzzles and bosses, either in an optional 'hard' or 'master quest' mode or with an optional in-game hint system to prevent players from getting stuck.

I think TP is a great introduction to zelda games for true non-gamers, but would need to change in order to be enjoyable to someone like me who has tens of thousands of hours of experience

You did indeed stab me in the back. However, you are only level one, whilst I am level 50. That means I should remain uninjured.
