TopicBetter Moderation System: GameFAQs or Reddit?

I used to be a mod on a few subreddits and I can guarantee GameFAQs has the better "system". But you also have to understand each subreddit is its own community. It's not like different boards on gamefaqs. Each sub is essentially like a different website where the mods are allowed to run things however they want.

You can have a sub where they're heavy-handed and delete everything and ban anyone they want for literally no reason. You can also have subs where the moderation is non-existant and has lost all form of topicality. And everything in-between.

The admins also have power to "shadowban" users. Which is typically used when someone tries to do a board invasion but sometimes regular users get caught in the mix and get shadowbanned. It's pretty rare from what I've seen though but I def. don't agree with it.

So I guess my point is comparing gamefaqs to the whole of reddit is like comparing apples to oranges.
