Overall I would call it somber. Wolf and Kuro know where their quest ends and I feel the gravity behind every single line of dialogue. The moments of levity do well to alleviate the gloom and doom the game otherwise spends its time building up. Even eavesdropping the guards makes all of them sound like goons, instead of just the ones who are supposed to.

The sculptor feels like a totally different character tonally. I assume the actor was going for apathy, but he just comes off as...I guess boring? Stoic? I don't feel like he's building to a dramatic conclusion like I did in my first playthough. He and Kuro are the worst offenses so far. Genichiro is pretty well done. I'm still early and there are plenty of characters yet to be introduced, but the people I've dealt with so far have evoked a much less serious feeling in me.
