Day to day, I feel fine. But if something were to go down, I know my actual character, history, and actions won't protect me. What happens to me at that point is mostly in the hands of someone has likely been trained to view people who look like me as a threat and to ascribe the actions of others to me. So that doesn't make me feel very safe.
