He still crossed state lines and had an illegal firearm with the intent to go to a protest full of people he hated and oppose them, then shot the people he hated. Arguing he hated them is a pretty egregious case of speculation, unless you have something to support it. And that you didn't know he didn't bring an illegally owned rifle across state borders indicates you and factually uninformed about this case. Based on the information available, he was there to protect businesses and provide medical aid. That is why he can be seen with a med-bag, fire extinguisher and gun. Its why he is seen yelling for wounded people to come to him, because he is an EMT.
