I didn't get that far, so Ill let you have it. My main thing was that the fanbase was always fragmented and counting them in the same group like they're the same people makes the conversation a mess. It was pretty much agreed upon a long time ago that we talk about non MMOs separately.

This was what impeded most who played FF on consoles from getting into it. Plus the fact that you have to sub.

In 2020 though, most people have highspeed internet and a ps4 can run the game as good as a pc for low settings.

I see no reason to split them up. Are we assuming FF fans are unable to socialize with others in a text chat?
Not like combat style is an impediment to what makes a mainline FF anymore.
