UGH, just boosting min wage does not help, there are plenty of examples of this (including where I currently live). You need to boost the pay of everyone making near min wage equally or you screw everything up royally. And he has a radical loan payment and forgiveness program that will shift costs onto taxpayers instead of controlling costs at colleges. Something needs to be done, but also we need to stop making higher education about profit. There is no reason for the costs to be as high as they are. The current 7% interest rate on student loans though is insane, especially with the job market etc. Student loan forgiveness (at least of the interest many have accumulated), needs to be done.
