MATCH 2:

Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees (Baseball Teams)

The YankeesRed Sox rivalry is a Major League Baseball (MLB) rivalry between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox. Both teams have competed in MLB's American League (AL) for over 100 seasons and have since developed one of the fiercest rivalries in American sports. In 1919, Red Sox owner Harry Frazee sold star player Babe Ruth to the Yankees, which was followed by an 86-year period in which the Red Sox did not win a World Series. This led to the popularization of a superstition known as the "Curse of the Bambino", which was one of the most well-known aspects of the rivalry.

The rivalry is often a heated subject of conversation, especially in the home region of both teams, the Northeastern United States. This match-up is regarded by some sports journalists as the greatest rivalry in sports. Games between the two teams often generate considerable interest and receive extensive media coverage, including being broadcast on national television. Wikipedia

Dracula vs. The Wolfman (Horror Creatures)

The werewolf and the vampire are popular fantasy creations since early literature; lycanthropy can be traced back to Petronius (27-66 A.C.) and Gervase of Tilbury (1150-1228), and the vampire concept became famous during the gothic literature of the 18th Century, which can be traced back to Polidors The Vampire (1819). Bram Stokers Dracula (1897) is considered the representative cornerstone of the genre, and a masterpiece for many literature students and fans.

It was until 1931 when Universal Pictures would start popularizing several monsters in their landmark horror films, from Frankenstein to The Mummy. Dracula (1931) and The Wolf Man (1941) are no exceptions. The adaptations and recreations of the concept up to this day are endless, considering cinema alone. Universal Pictures would often place several of these monsters together, not only bringing terror to the people, but also a rivalry against themselves. This concept also popularized the concept of rivalries between famous horror villains up to this day. ElCochran90
