I'm not really good at tech stuff, but you should be able to login as an admin and navigate to the option where you can separate the connection to 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Name the 5GHz network something different and try connecting to that one. I don't know the tech mumbo jumbo behind it but this greatly increased my speed.
