Depends on the person, depends on what I'm saving them from, depends on how I'm saving them, depends on how long they "stay" saved, depends on what you mean by "financial freedom", depends on how long I have to make the choice (my impulsive emotional reaction to things isn't going to be the same reaction I have given enough time to make a calm, rational decision with plenty of forethought and investigation).

Also depends on how I'm apparently given the omniscient awareness that my choice will 100% "save their life" rather than just end up being throwing money down a rat hole.

Being asked to save someone I'm incredibly close to by merely passing up a financial opportunity in order to help them survive a congenital condition that is in no way their fault and which can be permanently fixed with minimal risk is probably going to have a very different answer than asking me to accept living in borderline poverty to save the life of someone I don't even remotely know (or actively dislike), whose problems are entirely of their own making, for which they show little remorse or intent to change, and whose lifestyle makes me think they'll just be dead of something else in a year anyway.
