By "new normal " I think they mean things will not be the same again And they are right Even if Corona was cured in November it will take decades before people are back to how they used to be with travel and large crowds gathered and businesses at full strength People are finally opening their eyes to how pandemics are a bigger threat than war to the 1st world in modern society and that realization isn't going to go away The majority of people seem to be acting like everything is fine now and we don't need to be careful at all. At least in the UK where the government has zero interest in protecting people and has been profiteering off the pandemic.
