What makes you want to vote for him?

There isn't a single reason. It would be nice to say something like 'he supports X which I agree with, so I'll vote for him' because that would make my political positions much easier to understand. The reality, however, is that there are three primary factors that have driven me to decide to vote for Trump in 2020 as well as what happened in 2016.

In 2016...

1) I did not approve of how the DNC handled itself one bit in the primaries. I'm not going to say Bernie would have beaten Hilary if it wasn't for the DNC, that would be stupid. Hilary had name recognition which was going to help her out a lot. However the way it unfolded, in my mind, made it clear to me that the DNC did not represent its voter base but, instead, oligarchal power. This co-incided with what I was seeing in how the media was treating the candidates. It was four years ago so I don't recall specifics but I do recall it seeming like the media was acting as if Hilary had already won and Bernie just wasn't getting the hint.

2) I am HEAVILY against the CCP. Even before the candidates had started running I was hearing about their deeds and corruption and I could not, in good conscious, vote for any candidate who wasn't willing to get tough with them. Trump took a strong, pro-national, stance against them while Hilary was flippant at best if not outright supportive of increasing trade with them.

3) The 'Basket of Deplorables' comment. She basically not only said that a full-on quarter of Americans are horrible people that couldn't be redeemed but then effectively reserved the ability to define the criteria of what that meant for herself while giving her own party an effective blank check to the moral high-ground. This comment more than anything is what sealed the deal for me and ensured I would not vote for her in any circumstance.

In 2020

1) In the years since the Democrats have done absolutely nothing to provide a good reason for me to believe I was wrong. They've done nothing but whine, scream, screech, and everything else about how horrible Trump is and everything; even when he's enacting the very policies that they put into place. Russiagate alone showed to me that they were completely insane. I mean, they thought Trump was pro-Russia while Hilary was the one literally giving the relationship reset button to them? If anything it seemed like Russia would have intervened on HER side and not Trump's, yet they were claiming HE was the asset? That's FAR from the only thing as well. The constant censorship, SJW/Political correctness, and everything else spoiled any chance I had of voting for them.

2) The DNC was a complete and total ****show. Even moreso than usual. The one candidate I actually liked couldn't get on the ticket, they had people campaigning down in Mexico, it was blatantly clear that they wanted Biden in but were going to gleefully look the other way to get money, and everything else, it was terrible.

3) Everything that's been happening of late has just further driven the point home. We have people unable to go outside for spiritual needs to peacefully gather in churches, but it's fine for the C.H.A.Z. to happen? And it only STOPS when they threaten the mayor who was, previously, supporting it? If that's what the Democrats have to offer count me out.

Or do you genuinely think he is a good president?

I think this is a difficult question to answer. Here's my best answer.

I believe that, had this election taken place some time between 1980 and 2000 with otherwise identical results, I believe Trump would be utterly unremarkable president on par with Carter in terms of renown and maybe an eternal joke about bad haircuts. Given the current political nature of this question I believe deciding if Trump was a good president or not won't be able to be answered until 2120 with the eyes of a generation hopefully completely unclouded by current politics. Meme power aside I don't know how I actually FEEL about him because I've been put in a situation where I have to, effectively, either approve of everything he does or act as if he drinks the fresh-squeezed tears of orphaned immigrant children to start his day. Needless to say this makes a nuanced answer on him very difficult.

What do you think he will do to make your life better in this country?

Let me flip this around. Without mentioning Trump or the Republicans (and no cheating with a substitute or the like. I mean 100% in both letter and spirit), what do you thing Biden will do to make life better in this country?
