Topic	How do I stop being so damn nostalgic

I'm not sure if I should just find a piece and brute force myself to learn it, or if I should aim for something more structured. With self thought stuff, even programming, I can get the basics. It's coming up with something I actually want to do with the skills that hinders me. I'm just learning songs. And playing through what I have learned and hope i get better at it. I do think it would be beneficial to actually learn the music theory so I can improvise and adapt songs.
