The game can honestly feel like Vanquish with a horror skin sometimes. Quick shots, weighty slides, dual-wielding, pretty well-fleshed out melee system, the game is simply a blast to play imo, especially once you take all that stuff to Mercs. You may be right. I didn't play any of Mercs (I am terrible at Mercs), so I may have been a little unfair to it.
