Just keep your valuables on a hidden travel wallet strapped under your shirt or something and put your dirty underwear at the top of a shitty backpack strapped to your leg. If you're super concerned, go to the market and buy cheap clothes for yourself there so you don't look like a gringo. When I had things stolen I looked like a tourist with a fancy kit and $200 "hidden" at the bottom of the bag I've also been on some in Japan and I would trust a random Japanese person with my life, 0/10 there. --- Slaves, be subject to your masters with all reverence, even to those who are perverse - The Holy Bible ...
