As in fired when you put in your notice. Meaning you just don't like your job so much that you just want out ASAP, so you ask your boss if you they can just let you go early so you don't have to work your two weeks notice and instead have them off or just start your new job immedietly.

If it's at-will employment, you can just do that if you want. There's nothing forcing you to work an extra week or two, it's a courtesy given so you're leaving on better terms if you need something from them in the future.

You mean you just walked out?

I get that if you hate your job and your coworkers, but I have nothing against them. So my only option for getting out early is to ask them if they can just let me go.

Back when I worked sales, I knew a person who left for lunch and never came back. After 2 hours elapsed, either a coworker or a manager called them and they mentioned that they called a manager from another store (who was one of the company's higher-ups) to let them know they quit. And another person flat-out ghosted us. Not that I completely blame them, supposedly they didn't have any customers some weekdays.
