| Hayame Zero 07/14/20 10:03:25 AM #24: | Every subsequent re-release of FF1 is good, but the original on NES has aged like hot garbage. The difficulty imbalance requires most people to grind - like many early RPGs - but also, several spells are bugged and don't work, and the shortened names of equipment and spells is too vague. Also, if you kill an enemy, and other characters are targeting it, they just attack the empty spot instead of moving onto another target. There's some innovative stuff in it (that's honestly done much better and more polished in Dragon Quest games), but the later remakes made so many QOL improvements. --- ...I think I'm done here... ...
