That's some creative reinterpretation, but the actual protesters have been pretty clear what they mean: They want the current cops gone. A) nothing in that first link supports that, and 2) Seattle doesn't speak for everyone. Seattle doesn't even speak for all of Seattle's protesters, as clearly shown in the second link. Core organizer and secondhand victim explicitly didn't want police gone. Zeus posted... Sure, not all protestors are that crazy -- some acknowledge wanting to keep law enforcement -- but many of them absolutely fucking are. And the crazies seem to outnumber the "what we really mean" crowd by a large degree. People with extreme opinions exist along all political spectrums.
