If its an appropriate context to say it, then actually say it. Saying "the N word" is one of the most cringiest things ever to me. Because everyone knows what you're saying, its saying the word without physically saying it and pretending its cool. Its so dumb.

It depends. If someone said "Hey man, Bobby called some random black guy the N-word and got his ass kicked at the bar" is more cringey than just saying what he said. It's like the wizarding world always saying you-know-who. Obviously calling someone that word is wrong but quoting it or discussing the merit of the word, i personally don't see a problem with. It ain't like its something that should be everyday vocabulary but sometimes situations come up where it needs to be said and self censoring for no reason cringes me out
